I believe this journal could use some reinvention.
After joining help_them_heal, which is probably one of the nicest places on LJ, 've come to look at things a little differently.

So, I'm gonna try to do away with some of the negativity. It hasn't helped me in life any, and it hasn't helped the people that I care about, either.

So, the "vision" of the past is going to give way to a new one. The name remains as a reminder to those that may still harm my loved ones: While I may be trying to do away with the negativity, that does not mean that I am not the vision of death. That merely means that I'm not awash in my own fury.

I can control myself, because I am a better man.

Added ya back.

NY, eh? :D I am from New York. And would be there now, were I not in Japan for a few weeks with Dani. And Ry. And Ry's girlfriend. And a whole shitload of other people. But I will soon be back in NY. And it heartens me to know there are other non-shitty folk out there floating around in the nearby ether, as it were.

I'm glad you're choosing your path yourself, and not letting anyone else choose it for you. Mastering ourselves is a lifelong process, and one I still suck at, but the rewards are so deep.

I'm glad you're around.

Incidentally, I've been having my AIM account attacked all to hell lately too. Must be a thing. Idiots. But I did laugh my ass off at what you posted about it.

Thank you for the add. D: I live in Staten Island, so it ain't too far off. Maybe one day I'll propose a hang-out with the group of you? >>; In a ridiculously short time, -I feel better-. It doesn't mean that everything that I need to master about myself is fixed, but it's a start. A start that came a lot faster than I originally expected it to.

On an unrelated front: I envy the hell out of all of you. >>; Japan is an eventual goal, once I bring up my fluency and my cashflow. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
